In our life together as a fellowship, we seek to acknowledge Jesus as the sole Head of the Church. Our focus lies broadly in two areas: i) to make disciples; whose desire is in turn, to make other disciples; and ii) to connect and engage with those who are currently outwith the church, in our community and beyond.
Our main worship time together is on Sunday mornings at 1030, lasting normally an hour and a half. This consists of all-age worship for the first part of the service and then the young people go out to their various groups (crèche, Sunday school and Sunday Youth Group/Bible Class). Our worship services are usually led by the Pastor and Elders as well as members of the church on occasion, and incorporate the use of a variety of multimedia resources, instrumentalists and vocalists. Modern worship songs and older hymns are blended together along with prayers and open worship times when people can pray, participate and share as the Spirit leads.
We have a preaching team who share in the ministry of the word, and communion is celebrated most weeks during the morning or evening service, or in home church groups.
Our regular programme also includes:
| Sunday Evening Services | |
| Home Church Groups | |
| Discipleship Course | |
| Christianity Explored | |
| Toddlers, including coffee shop | |
| Youth Fellowship | |
| Young Peoples Discipleship Group | |
| Summer Children’s and Youth Missions (& follow up events throughout the year) | |
| Young Adults Group |
Other regular activities include church meals and social events, and weekends away. Some of our members are also involved in overseas mission work, with prison visitation, work with the Aberdeen City Mission, work with local and international students, support of the church in Poland, and various other missions.
We enjoy close working relationships with the other churches in the area through combined services (roughly 4 times per year), as well as work in local schools and sheltered housing centres. The ministers and children/youth workers also meet every fortnight for prayer, fellowship and planning.
