The local churches in Bridge of Don have a very good relationship with the sheltered housing complexes in the area.
Services are held fortnightly, on a Sunday afternoon, at Charlie Devine Court (opposite ASDA). These are co-ordinated by the Baptist church; however, the ministry is shared with Oasis Christian Fellowship and Oldmachar Church of Scotland. The small group of residents who meet appreciate the opportunity to have a service in an environment they are comfortable with. Friendships have grown with the church members who support/lead this work.
Every second Sunday afternoon a short service is held at Denmore Court Sheltered Housing Complex, from 3.30pm to 4.00pm for all residents who wish to attend. Our own Church alternates with St. Columbas Church of Scotland in leading these services. The group of 8-12 residents who regularly attend greatly value these occasions, and have formed good friendships with those of our congregation who share the responsibility of leading.
